The Intergrid IG-25-240 inverter uses Silicon Carbide (SiC) FET technology allowing high switching speeds while reducing switching losses to less than 1/10^th of conventional IGBT technology. The inverter is designed for both wall-mounted and rack-mounted installation. The inverter uses 1200V switching devices and can operate over an input operating range of 360 to 900 Vdc. This means that it can be used with a simple rectifier input from a wind generator eliminating the need for a front-end dc-dc converter in many applications.

LAMINATION TOOLING

Orchid’s tooling department has been designing and building dies for its own production for decades. Since we run hundreds of lamination tools day in and day out, as well as maintain and rebuild all the tooling we run, we have tremendous hands-on experience and knowledge in building the most productive and problem-free tooling.

Over the past few years, Orchid has made substantial investments in the latest equipment and technology to support building tooling in-house. Although Orchid builds the majority of its tooling requirements in-house, Orchid also works with leading lamination tool builders for applications that are outside of Orchid’s area of expertise or internal equipment capabilities.

Orchid’s custom-designed and built lamination dies offer multiple-out solutions to minimize costs and maximize material utilization.
