This reception and workshop will provide opportunities to learn, network and share information on wind systems in island and islanded grid environments through expert panel discussions, stakeholder dialogue and training. Sessions will cover the state of the technology and markets as well as key issues such as energy storage and O&M. Attendees also have the opportunity to attend the Alaska Rural Energy Conference immediately prior to the workshop.
The workshop also includes an optional field trip to the Delta Junction Wind Farm on Saturday, April 30. This is an opportunity to get a first hand look at the 2 MW Wind Farm which is one of two Independent Power Producers feeding into Alaska’s Railbelt grid. There is limited availability, so register ASAP if you are interested.
