The Intergrid IG-25-240 inverter uses Silicon Carbide (SiC) FET technology allowing high switching speeds while reducing switching losses to less than 1/10th of conventional IGBT technology. The inverter is designed for both wall-mounted and rack-mounted installation. The inverter uses 1200V switching devices and can operate over an input operating range of 360 to 900 Vdc. Sonsight Wind is a small company within the greater Atlanta GA area that was founded originally in Maryland by Dr. Devon R McIntosh to apply research in electromagnetic interactions to problems related to energy efficiency and renewable energy.
