Developing a Sustainable Manufacturing, Advanced Research & Technology (SMART) Roadmap for Distributed Wind
Watch a recording of our national roll-out of the U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST) 2-year planning grant to the Distributed Wind Energy Association (DWEA), supported by eFormative Options and Wind Advisors Team, to form a Consortium of distributed wind energy equipment manufacturers, suppliers, and academic researchers and develop a Roadmap to identify common manufacturing gaps, prioritize actions to close these gaps, and foster rapid transfer of solutions.
The project Core Team presented an overview, recapped FAQs about the project, and then provided an opportunity for stakeholders interested participating in the SMART Wind Consortium and Roadmapping effort to introduce their expertise and expected Subgroup roles, ask questions and help shape upcoming plans.
