SMART Wind Consortium Joint Virtual Meeting: Reducing Installation Costs

Installation: Reducing Electrical and Foundation Costs
Join us from 1-2:30 ET/Noon-1:30 CT/11-12:30 MT/10-11:30 PT on Wednesday May 27th, 2015 for a SMART Wind virtual meeting combining the support structures, electrical and mechanical subgroups.
The intent of this 90-minute SMART Wind Consortium meeting is to discuss actions to improve safety and efficiency and to reduce installation costs for distributed wind turbines. Gary Harcourt of Great Rock Windpower will discuss the electrician’s work and ways to handle the high electrical costs on various types of towers, and Roger Dixon of Skylands Renewable Energy will provide an overview of different types of commonly used foundations and share his ideas on how to reduce costs. A short introduction to the SMART Wind project and the subgroups will also be provided.
The meeting is free for DWEA members, government, and non-profit employees. There is a $25 charge for non-DWEA members.
