DWEA’s SMART Wind Manufacturing Forum marks the second annual gathering of the full Consortium since our four in-person Subgroup Kickoff meetings, monthly Virtual Meetings, and Launch meeting held last fall where the distributed wind supply chain and academic partners convene to learn about cost reduction strategies. This is an interactive meeting that will focus on key topics of automation, robotics, and lean manufacturing processes to develop a consensus-based Roadmap that prioritizes solutions to manufacturing gaps and barriers for near-term and future scalability.
OEMs, component manufacturers, installers, academic researchers, and other collaborators will participate in this 1/2-day Forum and discuss action steps needed for the future of our industry. The past SMART Wind events have been a great success! More than 80 companies from across the country have joined together to discuss strategies to work together on advanced manufacturing of distributed wind turbines.
